Role Overview
We’re looking for Claims Operators (Public Adjusters) who thrive on advocating for policyholders, navigating complex claims, and delivering results. Whether you’re a seasoned public adjuster or a sharp professional from insurance, restoration, or project management ready to pivot, you’ll investigate property damage claims, assess losses, and negotiate fair settlements. You’ll work independently to manage your caseload while collaborating with our team to ensure every client gets the justice they deserve. Key Responsibilities
- Assess Property Losses: Conduct detailed investigations of residential water damage claims, evaluating the extent of losses with precision and care.
- Analyze Insurance Policies: Review policyholder insurance contracts to determine coverage scope, limitations, and exclusions, ensuring accurate claim handling.
- Document and Prepare Claims: Gather and organize evidence, including photographs, estimates, and expert reports, to build compelling claim submissions.
- Negotiate with Insurers: Engage with insurance company adjusters to secure fair and timely settlements that maximize policyholder compensation.
- Advocate for Clients: Serve as the policyholder’s champion, communicating on their behalf and protecting their rights throughout the claims process.
- Manage Caseload: Efficiently handle multiple claims, prioritizing tasks and maintaining meticulous records to ensure smooth and accurate processing.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years in insurance, restoration, project management, or related fields; public adjusting or claims experience is a plus but not required.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret insurance policies, assess damage, and compile detailed documentation for claims.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills to advocate for clients and collaborate with insurers, vendors, and teammates.
- Negotiation: Proven ability to negotiate effectively, driving outcomes that benefit clients.
- Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail to ensure accurate investigations and comprehensive claim submissions.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, evolving industry.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the Los Angeles area as needed for on-site assessments.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency with Xactimate or similar tools for estimating property damage.
- Familiarity with insurance claims processes or restoration industry practices.
- Experience in client advocacy or customer-facing roles.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base + Incentives: $80,000–$120,000+ On-Target Earnings (OTE), with performance-based incentives and uncapped potential.
- Flexible Structure: Option for 1099 commission-based compensation, either upfront or as a future transition.

- PTO: 80 hours vacation + 40 hours sick annually; unused sick time converts to vacation the following year; tracked via QuickBooks Time.
